Choose the first player to be “it”. That player puts 2 glow stick bracelets together to form a large circle.

Step 2

Every other player puts one glow stick bracelet on each wrist.

Step 3

Next, start your game of glow stick tag.

Step 4

When a player is tagged by the person who is “it” that player hands over a glow stick bracelet to the person who is “it”.

Note:

  • As soon as relinquishing the bracelet, the tagged player should take off.

Step 5

The person who is “it” puts the bracelet on the large glow circle and continues the game. No one else can be tagged until that bracelet is latched around the large glow circle.

Step 6

Game play continues until the person who is “it” collect all of the bracelets. That means everyone has to be tagged twice to be out of the game.

Glow Stick Tag Game Variations

  1. If you have a lot of player you can give each player one glow bracelet instead of 2. The player who is “it” should still put 2 glow bracelets into a circle to collect bracelets on.
  2. Glow stick tag can be easily adapted for the pool on hot nights. Everything is played the same however I recommend players who run out of glow sticks should move out of the pool until it has ended.
