Am I the only one who thinks that bunnies are super adorable? Around Easter cute little Peeps, fun window clings, and wall decorations all sport the springy little animals which seriously delights me.

While shopping at Hobby Lobby (love that store) for supplies for this DIY spring wreath, I saw this gorgeous silhouetted moss bunny hanging. Like most craft-o-holics, I saw it and immediately thought, “I need one of these but I can totally make one like it at home.”

So that’s what I did and the end result is this easy and beautiful DIY moss bunny wall art! The best part is that you can make your own for a fraction of what it would cost you in the store.

Step 1

First, start by cutting your foam board in half, bisecting the longest edge. Don’t worry about making a perfectly even straight edge. Your bunny outline will be cut from it later.

Step 2

Next, free-hand draw a silhouette of a bunny. You can use the photo above for reference if you need to.

Tip:

Step 3

Then cut out your bunny along the outline you drew using a box cutter (or XActo knife).

Step 4

After you cut your bunny out, the edges are rough. Smooth them down by sanding the rough edges with your sand paper.

Once your DIY moss bunny wall art is dried, you can hang it up on your wall and enjoy. If you choose to hang it outdoors, I recommend spraying the entire bunny (front and back) with your sealant spray to help protect it from the elements.

I love ours so much that it found a place in our home with my Alice in Wonderland decor year round. It is beautiful Easter décor but can function as regular décor as well. Holiday décor is even better when it fits with your existing decorating scheme in my opinion!

Sprinkles Blanket BasketI don’t know if this happens with your kiddos but I swear mine would rather walk around wrapped in a throw blanket than they would put on appropriate clothes… or any clothes. Even better, they don’t even stick to one blanket. Instead by the end of the day my living room looks like a second-hand blanket store. I wanted an easy way to corral all of those blankets every day. If you follow me on Instagram, you also know that I’m totally trying to sneak more color into our decor. Put the 2 together and you get this awesome DIY sprinkles basket to get all of the blankets organized quickly, easily, and in style! Sprinkles Basket with Blanket Hanging Out

Step 1

First, thoroughly clean your basket. This helps the paint stick to it better, plus you really want to store your blankets in a clean basket. If it’s especially dusty or dingy, use a soft bristle toothbrush to get the crevices clean.

Step 2

Then place your basket on a protected surface and spray paint the entire basket white. Note:

Step 3

Allow the white spray paint to dry completely before moving on.     White Basket with Green Sprinkles Painted on It

Step 4

After the paint has dried, pick a bright acrylic paint and paint small rectangles all over the basket.   White Basket with Green and Blue Sprinkles Painted on It

Step 5

Next, pick a second bright color and, again, paint small rectangles all over the basket. Sprinkles Blanket Basket

Step 6

Continue painting different colored triangles until you have the desired amount on your basket. I recommend using at least 3-4 different colors.

Step 7

Then let your acrylic paint dry completely.

Step 8

Lastly, seal your entire basket with a coat of clear acrylic sealant and allow it to dry before using to store your blankets. DIY Lighted Photo Frame Home Accessory

Sometimes you simply want to keep pushing the limits. Like, how many veggies can I put in this sauce before the kiddos notice. How many items can I throw in the cart at the dollar store before I am blown away by my register total. Or.. How can I take my wall art to the next level for a totally unique decor look? That’s exactly what this DIY lighted photo frame does.

This is a sponsored post on behalf on Rust-Oleum. I received product for free in exchange for my honest opinion and creation. Affiliate links may be used in this post. Ordering a product through these links may result in a commission. Read the full disclosure here.

I’m totally enthralled with those lighted canvases. The lights are the perfect accent to the not only the picture but the entire wall. While I’m not quite ready to tackle the canvases, a lighted photo frame seems totally possible. Then you’re not in charge of creating the entire work of art. You simply print out the photo and you’re good to go.

Of course, it helps that Rust-Oleum came out with this super simple photo transfer solution. It makes it totally easy to transfer your favorite photos to the glass from your frame. It works with a ton of other mediums too, if you’re curious. I just knew immediately that I wanted to use it for this project.

Empty Frame, Photo Transfer Solution, and Laser Printed Photo

Lighted Photo Frame Materials

Glass Removed From Picture Frame

Step 1

First, take your frame apart and pull out the glass insert. Set the rest of the frame aside for now and clean the glass if needed.

Step 2

Next, pull out your laser printed photo and trim the white excess around the edges.

Step 3

After your picture is printed, cover it with a coat of Rust-Oleum photo transfer solution. I used a very heavy coat.

Photo Pressed Face Down Onto Glass

Step 4

Then carefully place your coated picture face down onto the glass insert and smooth it starting from the middle to the edges.

Step 5

Leave your picture and glass sitting for 12 hours.

Step 6

After your photo and transfer solution has dried, wet a cloth or paper towel and gently rub away the paper on your glass. Use circular motions and wet the paper before rubbing to make it easier.

Step 7

Continue removing the paper backing until all of it is removed.

Step 8

Once all of your paper is removed, set your glass photo aside and pull out your picture frame.
