It’s no secret that family game night is big in our home.

We simply love laughing and competing over an awesome board game. We even own the Champion Monopoly. You know the one that comes with a trophy?

That got me thinking. What if we had some sort of trophy for the winner of our other games? The kids would love to have something to show off when they defeat the parents.

Thus, this easy DIY game night medal was born. It’s perfect because it is inexpensive to make and pretty!

Remember these DIY birch bark vases? This is a great DIY to use up the lids left over from that project!

I am so lucky that my kiddos love reading. Even my oldest reads a lot when he finds the right book. I have always tried to tie reading with fun and enjoyable crafts and activities to cultivate that love of books. Getting lost in a story is one of my favorite things and something that I want to share with my little ones.

The Charlie Tractor books are perfect for little ones because they’re easy to read, beautifully illustrated, and easy to comprehend. The women who write them base the stories off of their own childhood growing up and I think that makes them even more special. Charlie is a character that kids relate to and that makes the stories even more special for them.

[bctt tweet=”No more trips to the store for play dough! Make your own budget friendly glittery no cook homemade play dough with ingredients you already have on hand!” username=”diyadulation”]

My kiddos love playing with play dough. Sometimes they even want to keep their creations sitting out to air dry then display in their rooms. This means we go through a lot of play dough and it gets expensive.

Finally, I decided enough is enough. It was time to create a budget friendly homemade version and that’s exactly what I did. Of course, I had to make it even better so let’s make it sparkle! The end result is this awesome glittery no cook homemade play dough that is super easy to make and a blast to play with. Even better, I had all of the ingredients on hand so it was totally free too. Definitely a mom win!

This glittery no cook homemade play dough turned out fantastic! It’s hard to capture the sparkle in the pictures but it is definitely pretty and glittery. Note that this makes a huge batch so your can easily separate it into multiple sets for your kiddos. That prevents fighting over colors and amounts which was a lifesaver for us. Anyone else so over the fighting between the kiddos this summer? Save yourself some trouble and separate your large batch of play dough before handing it over for them to play with.
