DIY Pokemon Card Valentines

We’re back again with another awesome Pokemon Valentine idea! Since so many of you love the Recycled Pokeball Valentine Box and because my oldest still loves all things Pokemon, I’ve created another fun DIY for you. These DIY Pokemon card Valentines are easy to make and candy-free! Your little Pokemon trainer will be ecstatic to help you make these for his or her school Valentine’s party. DIY Pokemon Card Valentines Materials

 

These DIY Pokemon card Valentines are easy to make and candy-free! Little Pokemon trainers will be ecstatic to give them at their Valentine’s parties.

Step 1

Fold your card inside out so that the white is on the outside.

Step 2

Turn your card so that the folded side is at the bottom.

Step 3

Cut your card in half down the center so that you have 2 smaller folded cards.

Step 4

Next, cut the top half off of the front flap of your card. When folded, your card should now be half red and half white from the front.

Step 5

Now cut a 1.5 inch strip from your black cardstock.

Step 6

Trim the strip of black cardstock to the width of your card.

Step 7

Attach your black strip to the white flap on the front of your card so that half of it overlaps the red.

Step 8

Next, grab the piece of your card that you cut off in step 4 and draw a circle on it with your compass.

Step 9

Cut out your circle and trace around the edges of the white side with your black marker.

Step 10

Attach your circle to the center of your black strip.

Step 11

Next, carefully add glue to the inside edges of your card.

Step 12

Now, write “I Choose You” in the center of your circle with your black marker.

Step 13

Next, write “From” and draw a line at the bottom of your card for your kid to sign.

Step 14

Repeat steps 1-14 until you have made enough cards for your child’s class.

Step 15

Lastly, open a pack of Pokemon cards and add one to each Valentine.

DIY Monogram Valentine Wreath

Yesterday I shared 9 DIY Valentine wreaths with you to kick off the Merry Monday Link Party 140. Today, I want to show you how to make this adorably girly DIY monogram Valentine wreath. This year’s wreath really ramps up the glitter quotient to the next level. It is the perfect easy update your door is looking for. You can also use it as wall décor for your Valentine’s party! Multi-tasking holiday décor is the best for busy moms like us.

Materials

Step 1

Remove any packaging and staples attached to your wood monogram.

Step 2

Cut up coordinating tissue paper into squares.

Step 3

Add a dollop of glue to your monogram and spread it until you have a thick, even layer on a small portion of your outer circle.

Step 4

Fold up a square of tissue paper into a pseudo-flower shape. See picture above for reference.

Step 5

Attach to your monogram by placing the “stem” part into the glue. Press firmly for a few seconds before releasing.

Step 6

Continue adding folded tissue paper squares and glue until your entire outer circle is completely covered.

Step 7

Next, cut the strings tied around your shower pouf that hold it together.

Step 8

Unravel it and cut a length of pouf that is about double the length that you want it to hang. Tie the ends together in a knot and trim the excess off of the end.

Step 9

Attach your pouf hanger to your wreath by slipping the end opposite your knot through the knotted end around the top of your wreath.

Step 10

Now, spread glue on the top half of your “L” in the center of your wreath.

Sprinkle your glitters over the glue.

Step 12

Add glue to the remaining half of your “L”.

Again, cover with your gold and pink glitters.

Allow your wreath to dry completely.

Lastly, spray your glittered letter with acrylic spray sealant to prevent it from dropping glitter everywhere.
