Technically our family is still celebrating Christmas on New Years Eve. We have a tradition of celebrating with extended family on that day. It is also a fun-filled evening of board games and delicious food. Unfortunately, as I get older, it’s hard for me to make it all the way to midnight.

That means losing out on cherished adult game time or starting earlier in the evening. The kiddos can feel left out of the fun, especially the youngest 2 who are unable to read yet. To help them feel included and have their own fun tradition this year, I wanted to make these disco New Years Eve countdown activity bags. Now they have a cool new surprise to look forward to each hour of the night.

I recommend filling them activities and games to keep the kiddos entertained while you take a much-deserved break. I got most of ours at the Dollar Tree so it’s totally budget-friendly too. Score!
