Frozen Bagged Chicken Recipes Series

The frozen bags of chicken are super easy to bake in one big batch.  Since they are boneless and skinless, you can just cut or shred them for our recipes easily.  Rotisserie chicken which is much more time consuming to deconstruct and because it includes the skin, it is less healthy than chicken breast.  Here are some great recipes all made from batch-cooked frozen chicken breasts.  Be sure to check back every Monday for the newest recipe in our chicken recipes series.

Easiest Chicken Stir-Fry Ever

I know you’ve been anticipating it and here it is! This week’s bagged chicken recipe is this super easy chicken stir-fry (check out previous recipes here). This is so quick and easy to make that you can whip up dinner in minutes for your family. Bonus, this is a great dish to teach kids to use chopsticks with (we love these trainers) and no wok required!

Ingredients

This is the easiest chicken stir-fry you'll ever make!  Your family will love you for making it!

Step 1

In a large pot, combine all of the ingredients except for chicken.

Step 2

Heat over medium heat and cover. Stir occasionally until vegetable are partially cooked.

Step 3

While the vegetable and sauce mix is cooking, cube chicken breasts into roughly 1/2 inch pieces. Stir chicken into the pot.

This is the easiest chicken stir-fry you'll ever make!  Your family will love you for making it!

Step 4

Continue cooking just long enough to thoroughly re-heat the chicken (about 5 minutes).   Serve immediately and enjoy! Have dinner on the table in four easy steps!

Toasted Ranch Chicken Sandwiches

Welcome to week 2 of our awesome frozen, bagged chicken breasts recipes!  (If you missed week 1 you can check it out here.)  This week’s recipe is a great way to dress up leftovers or to make fresh from the oven.  The best part is that 2 cooked chicken breasts feed a family of four easily!  Make these toasted ranch chicken sandwiches any time you need to feed your family fast.

Have lunch (or dinner) on the table in 5 minutes with these toasted ranch chicken sandwiches!

Ingredients

Step 1

Slice your cooked chicken breasts.

Tip: Slicing them into medallions makes it easy to fit them on the bun later without them hanging over the edge (unless you’re into that sort of thing).

Step 2

Toast your hamburger buns in the toaster to give them a nice, warm crunch.

Have lunch (or dinner) on the table in 5 minutes with these toasted ranch chicken sandwiches!

Step 3

Immediately place one slice of cheese on the bottom half of each bun as it comes out of the toaster to help it melt.

Step 4

Layer on slices of chicken and top each sandwich with 1 tbsp. of ranch dressing.

Step 5 (Optional)

Add other toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and cucumber.

Step 6

Replace the top of the bun and serve with a side (like delicious steamed-in-the-microwave edamame).
