Run water through your coffee maker without grounds for hot water. The warming feature will help keep it that way and re-fills are a breeze. If you prefer milk to water, use a Crock-Pot to warm the milk and keep it that way.

Keep Décor Simple

Don’t feel the need for elaborate décor on your hot cocoa bar. Use festive wrapping paper as a tablecloth, add a wreath to your organizer (or wall) as I did, and let your cocoa bar do the rest. It doesn’t need a lot of bells and whistles to be beautiful.

Free Printable Christmas Scattergories Game

Playing games around the holidays has a way of breaking the ice and focusing attention on fun instead of gifts. My family has been playing games for the holidays since I was a kid. It is one of the happiest memories of my childhood that I have. The scenery and the friends have changed over the years but the tradition remains. One of my favorite games has always been Scattergories and this year my oldest can play with me! To help celebrate passing the love of this game onto the next generation, I’ve created this free printable Christmas Scattergories game.

[bctt tweet=”This free printable #ChristmasScattergories #game is perfect for a festive fun night!” username=”diyadulation”]

I love this game so much that as a teenager I played an on-the-go version with my, now, husband as we walked around the neighborhood. One of us would start by naming a rock band. The next person would have to name a band that started with the last letter of the previous band. Yes, I have always been this much of a nerd. That’s why I can’t believe it has taken me this many years to create a Christmas version of the game.

How to Use Your Printable

To play, print out enough copies of the game for the number of players. Then cut out the lists and use them with your existing game. (If you don’t own Scattergories yet, you can grab it here.) I’ve also included a 6th blank list that you can fill in with your own categories. Feel free to make them as meaningful or silly as you want to suit your family gatherings. It doesn’t get much easier to enjoy a festive board game night than this. Having only 6 lists will also appease the players who aren’t as into the game as you are. It is played much faster than the traditional game.
