Materials

Name: Easy Homemade Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies
Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 11 min
Total time: 18 min
Yield: 24
Ingredients: 1 Box Brownie Mix; 1 Cup of Flour; 3 Large Eggs; ½ Cup Canola Oil; 10 oz. Peanut Butter Chips

5-10 Floral Stems (I got some of all of the Christmas stems at Dollar Tree)
18 inch Wreath
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Glitter Gold and Burlap “Merry Christmas” Ribbon (I got mine at Michael’s)

Step 1

Remove all of the packaging from your wreath.

Step 2

Next, fluff your wreath to make it fuller.

Step 3

Then cut all of your flowers and elements off of their stems.

Step 4

First, glue your red poinsettias to your wreath.

Step 5

Next, glue the white poinsettias to your wreath.

Step 6

Fill out your wreath more with some leaves from your floral stems.

Step 7

Add your red glitter stems to your wreath next.

Step 8

Then glue your gold glitter stems on.

Step 9

Next, add pine cones and flocked fir branches.

Step 10

Cut a piece of ribbon with one full “Merry Christmas” saying in the center.

Step 11

Fold the ribbon to form a banner as pictured.

Step 12

Then check your banner against the center of your wreath for size. You want enough overlap to be able to glue it to your wreath. Readjust it if necessary.

Note:

Do not attach it to your wreath yet.

Step 13

Next, glue the folds of your ribbon so that they stay in place.

Step 14

Lastly, attach your banner to your wreath with hot glue.

You’ll notice that there is no ribbon hanger on this wreath. When I tested it, the hanger made it look cluttered. Instead, add an outdoor Command Hook to your door and hang your glittery Merry Christmas floral wreath on the hook. I absolutely love how this wreath turned out. These are seriously melt-in-your mouth delicious. Our family of 5 tore through one batch in 2 days. They are that good.

Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies Ingredients

1 Box Brownie Mix
1 Cup of Flour
3 Large Eggs
½ Cup Canola Oil
10 oz. Peanut Butter Chips

Step 1

Pre-heat your oven to 375º F.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together brownie mix and flour.

Step 3

Next, mix in your eggs and oil until well combined.

Step 4

Lastly, stir in your peanut butter chips.

Step 5

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Step 6

Drop cookie dough onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

Step 7

Bake cookies at 370º for 11 minutes.

Step 8

Remove from oven and cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes.

Step 9

Lastly, move cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling completely.

Have Mugs Accessible

Make your mugs easily accessible to guests. We have this awesome DIY coffee mug organizing rack. You could also use mug trees to display mugs. These may need to be filled up throughout the night.

Utilize Your Coffee Maker

Run water through your coffee maker without grounds for hot water. The warming feature will help keep it that way and re-fills are a breeze. If you prefer milk to water, use a Crock-Pot to warm the milk and keep it that way.

Offer Options

There are so many great flavor options when it comes to hot cocoa. Make your life easier by offering one hot cocoa mix but plenty of flavorful extras for guests to customize their drinks. Some flavor ideas to help you:

Candy Canes

Cinnamon/Cinnamon Sticks

Mini Marshmallows

Caramels

Mint Chocolate

Whipped Cream

Stirrers

When you add mix-ins to your hot cocoa don’t forget something to stir it with. Use plastic spoons, wooden stirrers, or even paper straws for a festive touch. Make sure that you have plenty of extras. Remember that each guest will likely need multiples.

Keep Décor Simple

Don’t feel the need for elaborate décor on your hot cocoa bar. Use festive wrapping paper as a tablecloth, add a wreath to your organizer (or wall) as I did, and let your cocoa bar do the rest. It doesn’t need a lot of bells and whistles to be beautiful.

Now that you know how to set up a hot cocoa bar easily, you can pull it out for every holiday function effortlessly. We even made a family night out of it as part of our Advent this year.
