My family loves pizza. I’m convinced the kids would eat it every night if I’d let them. Leaving aside how unhealthy that is, it is also expensive. Enter Dollar Tree.
With the Dollar Tree we can get the ingredients for 2 large thin-crust pepperoni pizzas for less that five dollars. That feeds all 5 of us easily and when your grocery budget is only $200 a month, that’s important.
Alright, let’s get to the recipe!
First, preheat your oven to 425° Fahrenheit.
Next, open one of your thin pizza crusts and place it on a round pizza pan.
Now open your pasta sauce and spoon a generous amount onto your pizza crust.
Spread your sauce to cover the entire crust using the bottom of your spoon (the rounded side).
Next, sprinkle half of your cheese over the pizza crust.
Lastly, cover your pizza with half of your package of pepperoni.
Bake your pizza at 425° F. for 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove your pizza from the oven and cool for 2-3 minutes before cutting and serving.
Repeat steps 1 through 8 for your second pizza.
These are seriously easy to make and the family loves it. I like to serve them with a salad to add some veggies but they are delicious on their own as well. You can store your crusts in the freezer until you are ready to make them making it easy to stock up for multiple dinners.
Now you can surprise the family with a pizza night without destroying your grocery budget. Don’t be afraid to try out other delicious toppings on your pizzas, too. You can get toppings like canned pineapple and mushrooms at the Dollar Tree. Or you can try out your favorite fresh ingredients. Mix it up until you find what you love. Next week I’m sharing another budget-friendly Dollar Tree recipe with you so be sure to come back and check it out!
