Pineapple is my oldest son’s favorite fruit. In fact, all of my kiddos have sided with my husband and love pineapple on pizza too… You win some, you look some I suppose. Outside of pizza, I’m all about pineapple in savory dishes. If you make it have a spicy kick too, I’m in Heaven!
That’s exactly what I did with these spicy Hawaiian chicken sliders. Even better, they’re totally family-friendly because you can easily put jalapenos on half of the sliders. This leaves the other half sweeter for the kiddos but spice lovers can get that heat fix.

Spicy Hawaiian Chicken Sliders Ingredients
- 12 Pack of Hawaiian Rolls
- 1 pound Chicken Breast, cubed and cooked
- 2 Cups Pineapple Chunks, Strained
- Handful of Jalapenos
- 2-3 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Step 1
First, preheat your oven to 350° Fahrenheit.

Step 2
Then cut your Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottoms in an oven safe dish.
Note:
- If freezing, make sure the dish is also freezer-friendly. I used a foil lasagna pan from Dollar Tree.
Step 3
Next, layer your pieces of cooked chicken evenly over the bread.

Step 4
Top the chicken with pineapple. Again, make sure it is even dispersed throughout the bread.

Step 5
Then add your jalapenos throughout.
Tip:
- Add as many or as little as you like. You can see that I only added them to half because the kiddos don’t care for spicy food.

Step 6
Lastly, top the entire thing with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Step 7
Return the bread tops to your pan, cover the pan with foil, and bake at 350° F for 15 minutes
Step 8
After 15 minutes, remove the foil on your pan and bake an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

How to Freeze Spicy Hawaiian Chicken Sliders
After you add your bread tops to your sliders, cover the pan with foil. Label with name and cooking instructions. Pull it out of the freezer and place in the fridge the night before you plan on cooking your sliders. Then bake uncovered at 350° Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted.

Nothing says summertime tastes like these spicy Hawaiian chicken sliders. They’re so good, you’ll want to make 2 batches so you can freeze one for later and eat one right away! Pair them with this delicious homemade baked french fries recipe coming your way next week for a perfectly summery meal the whole family will love.
