This year I’m stressing about the 4th of July way more than normal because 2 days after is when we hit the road for Disney! It’s not easy taking care of things for a celebration and making sure 5+ people are ready for a week-long vacation.
I needed some easy and delicious ideas to take the pressure off and that’s exactly what I’ve found. We might even bring some of the leftover desserts with us, because, yum!
Even if you don’t have an epic trip coming right after the 4th, there’s still no reason not to make is easier, right? Pick one or all of these treats to sweeten up your holiday celebration quickly and easily.

Fireworks Blondies Recipe (Ann’s Entitled Life)
Of course, you can’t go wrong with some blondies either. This red, white, and blue version is still super easy to make but has that extra festive pop that you’re looking for.

Put me down for any dessert that involves brownies. It doesn’t get must simpler to get your brownie and patriotic fix than these babies.

What about a quintessential s’mores treat? These cookies make it easy and mess-free to enjoy your favorite flavors this 4th of July.
Homemade Red, White, and Blue Chocolate Stars (Bride on a Budget)
These chocolate stars can also do double-duty at your celebration. Instead of only being a dessert, bag them up and give them out as favors to your friends and family.

Red White and Blue Swirl Cake Mix Cookies (DIY Adulation)
You can also take box cake mix and elevate it into something awesome like these swirl cookies. If you want to add a little something extra, turn them into ice cream sandwiches that you can cool down with on the 4th.
Patriotic Trail Mix Recipe (Kleinworth & Co)
Not all treats need to be coma-inducing sugary confections. This super fun and simple trail mix recipe is great for the 4th and also a fantastic snack to give the kiddos. It’s also crazy easy to customize and she has some tips for you to do that on the recipe too!
Redhot Patriotic Poke Cupcakes (Intelligent Domestications)
These delicious cupcakes spice up your 4th of July celebration figuratively and literally. With hot cinnamon candies mixed with sweet cake and frosting, your guest will be you to make these babies every year.

I’m a nerdy, crafty mom of three adorable little kids. I love writing and creating, but in my non-existent free time I also love karaoke, taking my kids to the zoo, and reading. I got my degree in Science (no idea how that happened) but I took every English class I could get my hands on because, yeah, I’m that girl.
