Materials for all 4 Home Decor Ideas with Temporary Tattoos
Foiled Remote Control Caddy
Step 1
Pull out your curved necklace tattoos.
Step 2
Cut out the gold and silver triplet necklace.
Step 3
Cut the necklace in half and place one half on the right side of your angled glass vase as pictured. Make sure that you remove the plastic covering before placing it on the glass.
Step 4
Next, cover the back of your tattoo with a wet paper towel. Let it sit for a minute.
Step 5
Carefully remove the paper backing, leaving the tattoo on the glass.
Step 6
Repeat steps 3-5 on the left side of your vase.
Step 7
Now cut out the smaller fringe chains from your temporary tattoos.
Note:
- I used 2 sets of the fringe chains to make the back decoration larger. This is totally optional.
Step 8
Attach the tattoos in the center of the back of your vase. Again, don’t forget to remove the plastic covering first.
Step 9
Cover the tattoos with a wet paper towel and let sit a minute.
Step 10
Again, carefully remove the paper backing, leaving the tattoo on the glass.
Step 11
Repeat steps 8-10 with the smaller, horizontal tattoos on the front center of your vase.
Step 12
Lastly, cut the rope gold necklace in half and add one piece to each side of your vase, under the gold and silver triplet necklace.
Step 13
Seal the entire vase with a coat of acrylic sealant and let dry.
Frosted Tealight Holders
Step 1
First, cut out the silver and gold triangles as pictured.
Step 2
Cut the strip of tattoos into fourths.
Step 3
Remove the plastic cover from one of the fourths and attach it to one side of a frosted votive.
Step 4
Next, cover the back of the tattoo with a wet paper towel and let sit for one minute.
Step 5
Carefully remove the paper backing, leaving the tattoo on the glass.
Step 6
Repeat steps 3-5 for the remaining 3 sides of the votive holder.
Step 7
Add tattoos to your remaining votive holders.
Step 8
Lastly, seal your votive holders with acrylic sealant.
Gold Foiled Pineapple Coasters
Step 1
First remove the paper inserts from 4 of your coasters.
Step 2
Attach 1 of each pineapple tattoo to a paper insert. Do this carefully. You want to wet the paper enough to transfer the tattoo without the paper falling apart. I dabbed mine until it released.
Step 3
Set the papers aside to dry.
Step 4
Next, cut out 2 of the gold honeycomb tattoos and cut each one in half.
Step 5
Attach one piece of honeycomb tattoo to each coaster.
Step 6
Then cover with a wet paper towel and let sit for 1 minute.
Step 7
Carefully remove the paper backing, leaving the tattoo on the glass.
Step 8
Seal each coaster with acrylic sealant and let dry.
Step 9
Lastly, return your pineapple papers to the coasters.
Foiled Wooden Arrows Wall Art
Step 1
Pull out one of your plain wooden arrows and cut out the strip of gold and silver triangles.
Step 2
Remove the plastic covering and place it face-down, centered on your arrow.
Step 3
Cover with a wet paper towel and let sit for a minute.
Step 4
Carefully remove the paper backing, leaving the tattoos on the wood.
Step 5
Next cut the silver honeycomb tattoo into smaller pieces that are a little wider than the width of your arrow.
Step 6
Attach your tattoos to your arrow at an angle with spaces in between.
Step 7
Cover your last arrow with the gold and silver geometric tattoos. You will need to have multiples so that you can cover the entire arrow.
Step 8
Lastly, seal each arrow with acrylic sealant and allow to dry.
Step 9
Attach the arrows to your wall with Command Strips or poster putty.
Bonus Tips
- I found that the tattoos adhered more easily to frosted glass. When removing the paper backing, gently slide it before peeling back. This will make it easier for you.
- Lay your pieces flat when sealing them if possible. If you don’t, the metallics can run.
